Installation Options

When you buy your new gates from Gates & Automation Direct there are 3 options for installation. Even if we do not cover your area for installation by ourselves, you can still have our superior quality gates installed via an alternative method:

There are not many companies that make gates to the standard we do, which is why we have customers from all corners of the UK!

Option 1 – Installed by us

Option 2 – Installed by you

Option 3 – Installed by one of our preferred/recommended subcontractors or your own builder/subcontractor

A lot of our customers install their new gates themselves. It is not overly difficult, typically it just involves a little good old hard work (digging the post holes!), leveling the posts, waiting for the post mix/concrete to set and hang & adjust your gates. You may need an extra pair of hands depending on the size of the gates you require.

We have created many guides to help you get the perfect install. If you send us pictures of your opening we can also give free advice!

You are able to purchase gates from ourselves and have someone else install them.  We actually manufacture and sell many gates to the trade – builders, contractors, automation companies, councils, architects etc!

There are many available contractors/automation engineers who are capable of installing a simple set of gates. For smaller gates/jobs customers have also used local ‘handymen’ advertised online.

We also have a network of subcontractors who have been commissioned by our previous customers. We can provide their contact details for you to arrange an installation with them. It is up to the customer to decide on which subcontractor they are satisfied with to do the job.

If you look at our ‘typical installation costs’ above it will provide a rough estimate of what you can expect to pay. This may vary depending on location.
